I would call it an aberrant california king. A nice one at that. It has what I personally call a "halfstripe" on the second half of her body. I am trying to produce one that is perfectly half banded and half striped. I have only seen pictures of a wild caught one in Carlsbad Co. California. I believe that is where it was collected.

Here is the closest I have gotten to date. I am breeding it to a striped male next year to see what pops up.
Oh, and yours does look desert phase. Usually desert phase calkings have the white and black and the ones with yellow/cream and brown are called coastal phase, but they have been crossed out of the wild many times.

It's a nice looking snake, good luck in trying to produce a similar specimen.
