Fluorescent Hood Question

Is there any real reason to spend 20-20 dollars more for a fluorescent hood fixture that has a polished aluminum reflector on it compared to a standard hood for my ReptiGlo 8.0?

No, not really. I have a normal flourescent fixture for an under counter light on one of my tanks and it does just fine.
