Can someone help me out. I am having trouble deciding if I want to get a 0.1 CB hatchling ANERY Mexican Night Snake, or an F3 Orange Sears line Hogg Island Boa (CB baby). Can someone please give opinions?
Thanks in advance

Is the Night snake a rodent eater? They stay alot smaller than a Hog Island but it's like comparing apples to oranges. I am certain of one thing if you want an animal that you can handle more easily than I would go with the Hog. I don't own either species so it's all about your preference. Go with your gut feeling!!
You have to ask yourself is this going to be a pet that I handle and is the snake going to enjoy being handled by me. If yes, then I would go with the hog island boa. Remember boa constrictors are one of the most kept pet snakes. There is a reason. Boas can and do make a great pet. A pet that you can build a pet/owner relationship with.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thats what I would do, But I am REALLY Biast, I like Hog islands, They stay small, they are from an Island, I do have a thing for Island boas. BUT in the end its all up to you. I would get the Hog Island though. LOL

Thanks for the replies. I have been keeping and breeding snakes for years, and I am not necessarily looking for a tame, pet snake. Which one is a bit more exotic? This Hogg Island is an exceptional specimen, not one you see everyday. However I have NEVER seen any Anery Mexican Night snakes being offered for sale, so that's why I am leaning towards this. How rare/exotic is an ANERY Mexican Night? Are they commonly offered for sale?
I have never seen one being offered for sale. Night snakes are pretty cool but it's all about your preference.
Theres "nothing" exotic about Hog Island bci.
The current supply far exceeds the demand and with exceptions most of the stuff out there is scatter bred and not worth a third of what some breeders are asking for them.
The Hog Isles can be pretty good lookers at times but outside of that their no different then any other bci.
I would opt for the Night snake over a generic Hog if put in such a postion.
I`m very picky on what I keep and leave the other 95% of known bci to the others of the world.

hogs are incredible , they are amazing snakes , n my only snakes that i have that i have noticed a personality other than " yummm food " and " human , lets bite it" they are incredible , and i think that finding a pure bred hog island boa is worth more than alot out there.
