My new leos!

spot012 Feb 26, 2005 12:09 PM

I got these 2 last weekend. They're so adorable!!! I'm just tryin to fatten em up now. Anyone know any good ways to get them to eat mealies? They'll lick them but they don't seem too interested in eating them.

Some baby leos won't eat mealies right off, i started mine off on crixs and offered mealies at the smae time, after a week or two she stopped going after the crix and started eating guts mealworms, unless a cricket got careless.

Also depending where the leos came from they couldn't be alittle dehydrated so i would mist them and leave a shallow water dish out for them.

They don't look very healthy. Is something wrong with thier eyes or is it just the pic?

They're healthy as far as I can tell. It must just be the picture cause they eyes look fine to me. They have VERY good appetites.

Some leo's take to mealies,a nd some don't. Mealies aren't a very good staple food anyay, if you want to go with a worm Silkworms are the best nutritionally, they are better than crix too. Give them a variety of different insects including crix, silkworms, mealworms, wax worms (occasionally, too fattenin) butterworms (same as waxies)
