I can't belive I found this forum!!!!
Fisrt of all please excuse my english wich is not very goos (I am french speaking so...)
I have a collared lizard (crotaphylus colaris bicinctore). He has been a member of our family since last october.
I am quite disapointed with the staff of the store who sold him to me....they can't seem to agree on what is best for this king of lizard...
Anyway...His name is Gandalf, he lives in a 30x12x18 little "appartment". I use sand as a substract. Somes rocks to climb, some places to hide and a good temperature is kept into his terra.
He eats approxymatly 12 crickets ans 12 wax a week. Is this okay?
He refuses to eat fruits or vegetables.
Any goos advice to help me know a little bit more on how to kep my little lizard as happy as possible?
I am happy to join you :O)

If your temps are good 100- 105 basking area, and 85- 90 in the rest of the tank, and Gandolf is eating well , sounds great, sand is fine, Bicinctores are a very handsome collared usually alittle hard to handle, I have heard they take longer to tame down. There are others on the forum that have Bicinctores also they may want to add something. Well glad your here,
Eve
