F2 generation EasternXhypo brooksi

bluerosy Feb 26, 2005 05:04 PM

This is a F1 generation. All these came out with lots of yellows, orange and reds.

And this is a result of the F1 gen (above) breeding together. What happened to the reds and yellow pigment on this second generation?

F1 het for hypo

F2 hypo version resulting from an F1 to F1 breeding:

cool looking white head. F2 hypo. Bad lighting on this pic

sorry about the bad pics. I was in a hurry. f2 hypo

Those F2 Hypos are awesome Rainer!!
The F2 normal looks alot like an eastern and less like cross except for the head. I have no idea where the red and yellow pigments went. Maybe it is anery?????
I can't believe how nice the hypos look. Great project and cool snakes.

I hope I get some in 06. My 04 female het is probably about 150 grams or so already. The 03 male is 3 foot and can eat several adult mice and still look hungry. I really like these snakes, it's even cooler that you just can't predict what offspring from them will look like. Tom Stevens

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmn Rainer... I'm afraid you're gonna take all my $ this season!

those hypos are amazing... the b/w f2's are freaky, it's really weird how the reds/orange just vanished.

Very impressive work.

Thanks Zenny! What I can't wait to see if this same breeding produces a white and black hypo. LAst year the female was small so I only got four good eggs. Three (1.2)were the white and black ones and the hypo looks to follow the pattern of the adults. Hopefully this year i will produce an all black and white hypo. If not then I am raising up the 1.2 pos. het blackies to see if I can get a hypo out of them in '06 or '07.
