my male has just been housed with my female. i have caught him a few times now shaking his head and frills and trying to bite onto her frills! is this normal behavour?

my male has just been housed with my female. i have caught him a few times now shaking his head and frills and trying to bite onto her frills! is this normal behavour?
Well, he is trying to breed with her!! If she is not at least 2 years old and they breed you can have problems. she can become egg bound and die. Or if she does lay the eggs she can die at a young age or get calcium diff. (that's what I heard.)
If she is not 2 years old I suggest separating them.

she is 2 and a half years old.
