Just purchased one ourselves, and I'm looking for info too! What did you end up with; our's is a Burton's snake-lizard, but the pet store it came from had it as a "New Guinea legless lizard". So far, I know it's diet consists of skinks, NOT crickets, and a friend in Australia who I e-mailed in a panic refered to the species as being "fragile".
Hey; not sure if you're still interested... If what you have is a Burton's legless lizard (Lialis burtonis) or what the pet shop sold us as a "New Guinea legless lizard", I've picked up quite a bit of info over the last few days. Let me know, and I'll bring you up to speed; most notably, they're NOT insectivores, but rather carnivores! They ONLY eat other lizards and the occasional snake. So, if that's what you have, feed it lizards before it starves to death, no matter WHAT the pet shop told you!
