Hello Tom452:
Several of the larger reptile dealers carry them on occasion. They are relatively inexpensive (usually under twenty-five dollars). They are fascinating lizards but are somewhat difficult to work with. I think the main part of the problem is that they come from very humid areas where they have access to all the water they need. Once taken from the environment their thin bodies dessicate very quickly and by the time they are imported they've pretty much had it. For that reason it is extremely important to mist them and offer them a water bowl with an airstone in it as quick as possible. For such small lizards they drink an amazing amount of water on a continual basis. Once rehydrated they will usually feed with no problem though they need to be fed very small food items. week to 10 day old crickets are best for them along with fruit flies (wingless) and very young mealworms. They also like grass sweepings of small insects and a favorite is Pharoh Ants.
If set up properly (lots of perch sites and foliage to hide in) they settle down quickly. They are really cool to watch. They need good lighting as well.
Remember, though, the importance of good water availability. They drink constantly.
I hope this info helps. Good Luck and Have A Great day!!!

Flying dragons are very shy. They are touch-me-not lizards! they can eat about 12 crickets a day. They also drink 3-4 times a day. they also need large screen cage with 3 or 4 branches going up and lots of branches going across and lots of silk plant with water dripping on them, and a humidity of 80% .
The reason the are not much $ is they usually dont live. I had a pare that only lived 2 weeks. I thank they died because I was around them to much. so if you do get some DONT hold them much at all.
I hope this does not discourage you but I hope this does help you.
