water pumps for waterfalls

met Feb 26, 2005 09:16 PM

Does anyone have any experience using a water pump for a small waterfall (in a 20 gallon tank) that is external to the vivarium, rather than a submersible type? It seem like it would be easier to service the pump if it was outside of the vivarium, but most of the external pumps I have seen seem too powerful for this application. Any advice or recommendations are appreciated.

You could use a sump. Maybe a canister filter.
