If you are interested in an Argus, I may be able to help out. Let me know if you are.

hey arguses are hyperactive, jumpy, smart, curious, extremely good eating mid sized monitors. there also my favirite monitor, they are great. males get 5 foot long and females get 3.5-4foot. i would say minimum 6'x3'x3' for a female and 8'x4'x4' for a male. they cost anywhere from $150-$300 not sure who a good breeder is but i plan to breed.
P.S. if you get one stock up on food

I use 8' by 4' cages for mine.

They are high strung monitors, bold, in your face, with lots of attitude, but are much more hiss and puff than bite. They may get used to you, but never really like you getting close to them or handling them.

Arguses cost a lot! You mean the purchase price of a hatchling? About $200 to $250. Then add another $500 to $1000 for the enclosure, $50 per month for heating, $20 per month for food, plus vet bills and so on.

I have a web page on arguses here: pizards.com/hbd/argus.html
