Does anyone know where I can get sand in low amounts?

duckofdomination Feb 27, 2005 02:04 PM

I see people talking about buying it by the ton and stuff, but Im only going to have one beardie, does anyone know where I can get bags of sand in smaller amounts?

you can go to your local Home Depot and get play sand, they are 50 lbs, but you dont have to use all of it and make sure its not wet.

A quarry will also sell you 100 lb bags very cheaply.

go anywhere that mixes cement and ask for their finest grain sand...May have to wash this if it's dusty though. The best way to go is buying 50lbs of washed play sand at your home hardware store or Toys R us store. Better yet, use non stick shelf liner
