It didn't really look all that purple to me. I wonder what they did to make it that color though.

Well its the exact opposite, they didn't do anything to the gecko except neglect it and make it so stressed out it turned a dark gray color.

Wow, it is just insane how some people keep their animals and the poor marketing they do. That gecko is obviously stressed and there isn't even a morph "purple blizzard" nor is there a morph that has anything to do with a purple gecko... wow do those people ever agrivate me.

Ya I see something wrong with that....It might be gravid and it's what? 28g....I see something really wrong with that. Along with the fact that it's not purple.

Good.... Everyone sees what I see.... It is sad what some people will do to make a buck....

There is a story to this. I wasn't going to go out of my way to "bad mouth" these people but I find that it is the right thing to do since now I am seeing him trying to sale these blizzards. I bought a female from them a couple of months ago. It was a very pretty blizzard and healthy and I must say that it had a darker tint to it than the average. I told them I was pleased and they said they were getting another shipment from their breeder of these "purple" blizzards I agreed to buy a male and two females from them. Since the breeder lives in my state then he sent them to me without it going through them. The male was skinny but not terrible but the two females were the saddest things I had ever seen. They were adults but their weights were 20 grams and 24 grams. The saddest thing was that they were both gravid. I contacted J&J immediately and sent them pics of the females. At first he didn't want to believe me saying that I am trying to pass off some of my own sick blizzards for the ones that came in. He did call his breeder and his breeder said that he could say one of the females was skinny but that was because they were breeding. The funny part in this was the wife got confused when I complained and sent all the money back to me for both females. After that happened I got many panic phone calls saying I either needed to send back the females to be able to keep that money or keep them and send back half the money. I stressed that I really didn't want to send them back as there was no way they were going to survive being shipped twice in two days. I sent back more than half the money because at the time I felt sorry that he was going to lose money when he actually didn't have control over the situation and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was a good person. He then started arguing with me to send all the money back and that I was the thief for keeping it. I sent him back his own emails stating that he wanted half the money back for keeping the lizards. He told me he would't pursue getting the money back but I wasn't welcome to buy from them again (like I would want to.) Since then I took them to the vet where I found that they were all infested with worms I still lost the worse of the femles about five days later and the other is yet to recover but thankfuly still around. I hate to put down anyone but I do want to say be careful when dealing with them. I know that they got like 10 females the same day I recieved my sad blizzards he said that his were on the skinny side but he would fatten them up before putting them on the market so to see him trying to dump them off is very upsetting.

be careful- i think you should post this in the rip-offs/complaints area, not here. i think this whole thread is agains thte kingsnake terms of use. just looking out, i'm on your side here.

Yea I know, they can delete it if they want and give me a warning. I was just SO angry when I saw it posted that he was selling that abused female that I just lost it and had to voice my story. I should have placed it elsewhere and for that I apologize to all here.

no need to apologize- i personally wish that the terms were a little different, though i see why they made them that way.

They've already taken down the ad. Who was the breeder selling them?

I know there's been a certain breeder trying to sell "purple" blizzards for a LONG time... *dating back to when I used to frequent the boards all the time* heh Ironically, the wood shavings that they had the "purple" blizzards on were also purple.
HHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........
