gtps are incredible creature. u never really know what their temperment will be. sometimes they can be calm as a corn snake , sometimes they are the meanest thing ever. cage size isnt important , as they dont move around too much , just make sure its a comfortable fit for a 4-5 foot arboreal snake. humidity needs to be HIGH! n temps need to be right around 81 degrees. hold your animal only during the day, as at night they are wide awake , n will strike at most things. biaks are supposedly the meanest , while arus are supposedly the calmest. for more info id suggest going to www.chondroweb.com n looking at the web pages there . thanx

humidity needs to be HIGH!

What would you consider high? Relative humidity should be kept around 60-70% with the exception of a shed cycle. Even then, most will have good sheds withing these limits. Chondros are thin skinned snake and keeping them in a highly humid, or saturated environment is only asking for problems. Good luck.

i keep mine around 80 % , which i consider high , and i have never had a problem w them , they all shed fine , eat fine , n they breathe fine as well. i also have a question , ive heard that 81 is a good temp to keep gtps at , n thats what i keep mine at , but can someone tell me if thats a good temp.

I think your humidity sounds rather high to me do you have good air flow? Your temps also seem way to low for your hot spot also. I have been keeping Chondro's and Emeralds for years and I keep both warmer than that. I would at least warm it up to 85-88 for the basking area for your Chondro.
