A little off topic, but was wondering if any of you know....

We went to the reptile show in Hamburg last weekend - tried to get through as fast as possible since I'm sick, but we saw this incredibly cool critter and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas what it might be...

I'm pretty sure it was a gecko, but it was VERY long limbed. It looked like something out of a lobster roach's fever dream, to be honest, it was very differently proportioned than you would expect. It kept doing this odd swaying motion (or maybe that was all the cough suppressant... LOL) Anyway, I asked the guy who had it what it was, but he had no clue - although he did know how much it was! I've been doing some poking around on the net, but haven't been able to find it so I thought I'd ask y'all (and I'm allowed to say "y'all" because I did live in TX at one time.)

By the way, the place was PACKED - $7 a head and we waited a half hour in line in the cold to get in. That line stayed that long the whole time we were there - about 2 hours. I'd love to know how many people went through those doors that day... I started seriously thinking about holding a show in my dining room - I wonder how many tables I could set up in there....

I was there.....parking was insane too! the crowd had thinned a bit by the time I left, to the point where you could almost move freely down the aisles....where was the animal you saw?
I was hoping to find house snakes at the show but the only ones were albinos....so I got a uromastyx instead lol

But I'm not sure... Did you get your Uro from the guy against the wall all the way to the right? There was a guy there with some nice ones as I remember. If you need help with your Uro go to http://www.repticzone.com/forums/Uromastyx/ the people there are very helpful. Some of the people are not the most - umm, what's the word I'm looking for - 'tactful' perhaps? but the advice is pretty sound.

Wish I could find out what that critter was - he was soooo cool...

Good luck with your new family member!

i have long time been a lover of the lamprophis genus. do you perhaps know who the breeder of them was? it has been next to impossible to find albino individuals for me for some reason.
thanks for your info.
