Thanks for all the pics-and now a question (or two)

Janel Feb 28, 2005 05:26 PM

Okay-first, thanks for all the pics-keep 'em coming.
Second, people are using terms like "normal", "orange" (I take it that these are orange on a creme colored background), "red" (red blotches on a black background going all the way up to the head), "neon"...
How many types/variations of capes are there? Could anyone tell me more about them. I didn't realize there was so much variation. Does any one know anyone selling those red and black ones like Billy has?
Thanks so much,
Janel

I consider mine to be a normal cape. I don't know about the various phases. To me, I have found some of the phases to be confusing. The red, neon, normal appear to my eye to be very similar (normal). Granted there are variables such as lighting, when they shed last, camera quality, etc. that come into play. I have to say to me they all appear normal.

Maybe one of the breeders can help us out here. Answering the question are these phases normal or engineered by a breeder looking for certain traits?

Birddog,
I would not call yours normal, red phase maybe. Just my guess.
This is a great question, really want to see it answered. We should learn alot if it is answered.
By the way that is a great looking snake, would also like to see the head. Where did you get it, breeder?

Peace.
