i just bought a baby bearded dragon around 4-5 inches very small, my question is, as of right now i have him or her in a 20 gallon but i feel that it is to big and will cause stress so do you guys recommend i go to a 10 gallon so it will cause less stress and any other info on hatchlings will be greatly appreciated.

A 20 gal is fine, just keep it simple. All you need is decent size stone for basking with a paper towel substrate.

Hey,
When I bought my beardie he was 5in. I put him in a 20 with sand substrate and cork bark for climbing, and a flat rock for basking. He did fine, he is now 10 inches

Hi..

I'm just repeating what I've read on here...and a 10 gallon tank is a bad thing. In order to get the temps up in the basking spot high enough, the all over heat in the tank would be too hot and it could kill your beardie. I've got mine in a 20 gallon right now and he likes it just fine.

Just make sure you are ready to move the little guy into a bigger tank in a few months...mine is growing like a weed!
