Updated aberrant Ghost Sonoran pics

gofer Feb 28, 2005 09:49 PM

Well, they are still dark but the best i can do until the weather changes here in the north. With the looks of the new snow storm it is turning out to be a nice end of winter blast at least. If only i had some more time off to go boarding...well, there is always next year i guess!

Have a good one,

Killer snake Gregg! I love how aberrant that pattern is!
Also..that must be one of the only ones like that in captivity, right?

wow, that thing is damn near fully striped! did either parent carry this trait gregg or did it just 'come out of the blue'?........

gofer Mar 01, 2005 12:00 PM

That actually just hatched out of the blue. There was one egg that went bad towards the end of incubation...and go figure when i cut it open it was another aberrant ghost. So i'm hoping to see another one or two aberrancies this year with the same adults breeding. Next year a sibling to this guy will be breedable so maybe a few will hatch out in 2006! Hamburg was packed this past weekend...it was a little too crowded for me, but fun as usual. Hopefully we can meet up at one of the shows this summer. How are all the drys coming along this year?

Have a good one Dan,

I don't know which one i'll go to next, probably one this summer at Hamburg. I might go to the new show in Butler PA sometime too, the guy running it is really nice and i'd like to meet him in person. I hope to talk Indigos and drys with you later this year if all goes well!

Yeah, i was so amazed to see that little guy in the incubator last year. Hopefully another one or two of those hatch out this year also. I know there are a lot of aberrant sonorans out there, but not sure if they have as much striping on them as this one. Maybe there are a few people out there that know if other ones like this have hatched out.

Thanks Billy!

I love that snake, it is the coolest Pit I have seen in a long long while. I can't wait to see if that pattern holds or somewhat vanishes as Ghost Sonorans do in thier mid sections? Any which way it is awesome. Tom Stevens

Thanks for the great comments Tom, much appreciated! I am looking forward to seeing if the pattern fades in this guy too. It seems to have faded a little already, i'm guessing it will become faint patterning in the mid section but will still be noticeable. I'll keep taking pics every so often of him and i'll send them your way each time i take them.

Have a good one,

Gregg
