I have a male Everglades rat snake and have been trying to think of a good name for him. Something that relates to orange. Any thoughts, ideas? Thanks for any all replies.

you may also wish to choose a name that resembles his personality. I named a lot of my snakes after songs, but looking back if I had thought of it, I would have named them all after the "deadly viper assasination squad" from kill bill, with bill being my green tree python. Not that he's the dominant one, but the most expensive one, lol. Named the other ones Buck, The Bride, Vernita Green, and elle driver.

Back when I had a few and thought of them as pets, I used to name them after literary characters, although I dont call myself a bookworm by any stretch.
I had an albino corn I called Ichabod Crane from the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. I thought the pale white color was appropriate for that snake, and then the obvious choice was Kaa from the Jungle Book for my yellow ratsnake. That was the first ratsnake I ever owned back in middle school.
I've stopped naming my snakes now, but I thought maybe this might give you some ideas.

How about Saffron. That is technically the color of those orange gates erected in NY's Central Park. I know that from now on, when I hear the word "saffron", I will think of orange.
Even though a lot of people may not consider it art (I'm still debating), they made a very orange statement.
