introducing a new snake...

MattGLet Jul 08, 2003 08:01 AM

i just got a new 138g normal today, and i already have a 900g female. i will be taking it to the vet in a couple of weeks, to for the checkup, etc. i am going to be housing them in the same 50 gal tank after quarantine. will my big girl feel threatened by the new addition at all? i'm not entirely sure how bp's work regarding territory. obviously i will be feeding them in different cages. thansk for the help.

difference together, and if you do you'll need to quarentine the new one for a couple months anyway.

That is a pretty big difference in size, so dont house them together. Just house them in their own enclosures. Housing in one of the things you should think about before buying a new animal. You really should've been prepared with a new enclosure if you knew you were buying another bp.

josh,
i never said i wasn't prepared... i have plenty of other tanks i can use, i just wanted some knowledge dropped b/c i wasn't sure about the territorial/size thing. no offense, but don't jump to conclusions.

thanks for your answer though.

Alright, no problem then. You can just house her in her own enclosure.
