Hello,

We have not yet had any problems with the ingestion of Aspen products with any of our stock. All of our colubrids (which can number in the thousands certain times of year) are kept on Harlan's Aspen Sani-Chips. All of our Ball Pythons and most Boas are kept on Harlan's Shredded Aspen from birth through adulthood. We currently have about 200 adult Ball Pythons housed on this substrate and they are all offered live rats as food. We have not witnessed one instance of a complication caused by this substrate.

Hope this helps...
