Costa Rican Cantil?
It certainly does look like a cantil, doesn't it.
It was going to be my guess, but I am not experienced enough with cantils to make the call.
But it certainly has a cantil look to it, though not exactly like the cantils that I have seen in pictures. (the only cantils I have seen are in pictures, but I plan to look for some at the next hot show I go to.) They are interesting snakes, though a bit too hot for me (I am a pigmy/copperhead/sidewinder/venomoids kind of guy).
cheers.

I have an adult pair of them.
Pretty cool snakes!

Do they caudual there tails when feeding. The one pictured
was sitting in a mudpuddle The way it's positioned suggests
baiting frogs with an "earthworm"
Rob
Mine were sub-adults when I obtained them.
Never saw caudal luring as babies. However, mine are adults now, and they flick their tail in a manner (at feeding time) that suggests luring.
