Creating a waterfall

Strife Mar 01, 2005 04:40 PM

I've finally decided to set up my dart frog vavarium and I was wanting to create a coustom waterfall and tree. I was wondering what materials would be safe to make these out of (ex plaster of paris?) and where I would be able to find them. Also what kinds of water resistant paints would be safe.
thanks

Best thing to use is cork bark or flat rock. Depending on the weight of the rock, you may want to use cork bark. You can normally find it at better reptile stores or at blackjungle.com It holds up to water VERY well, takes silicone, comes in ALL sizes. What's cool too, is sometimes it will start growing moss, and that looks bad arse. You can silicone plants to it, and they grow all over it. I wouldn't use a type of casting agent like Plaster of Paris, nor would I use paint. Keep it natural!
