faded colors?

geckonate Mar 01, 2005 05:04 PM

hi guys, I've noticed that my juvenile has some grayish faded colors on his back that weren't visible when I first got him two weeks ago. He shed on the 23rd. Is this the result of his last shed or a sign of something else? Experienced gecko owners advice only please. thanks.

Looks like the natural progression from juvenile colors to adult colors to me. Nothing to worry about. The dark stripes will fade with each shed, and he'll get more spots. Looks like he's getting a dorsal stripe as well.

thanks! thats what i was hoping. Is my friend a so-called circle back? Will he retain this circle throughout adult-hood or will it eventually subside?

It's hard for me to say. I've seen some circle-backs that end up with a ring of black to define the circle. It does have a very nice tang color though!
