A friend's three-toed has closed the front half of her plastron and appears to be "stuck." Her back legs are out and moving, but my friend is concerned because the front end is closed up, not moving. I'm not there (Missouri) to assess what's going on, so I don't have a lot of details. Any ideas if this is a sign of something terrible (does she need to run to an emergency vet) or should she just relax and see what happens by morning? I guess the tortoise has been in this state since my friend got home from work several hours ago.
