Getting another female...

BQUICKIE1975 Mar 01, 2005 08:20 PM

I am getting ready to get another female leo, and was wondering if she would be safe to put in with my other adult pair (46 & 58g's). The one I am considering is around 23-25g. Or if I get her should I put some size on her before letting her join the others? Any advice is appreciated!

Hey there!
One thing you should definitely do is quarantine her for 90 days before letting her join your other geckos. If she has any parasites or other problems, you will not have to worry about your other geckos catching something. Also, take care of your other leos before handling or cleaning the new geckos' cage. In 90 days, she will probably be big enough to join your other leos without any problems. Hope this helps and congrats on your soon-to-be new addition!
