For the brown snake lovers....

....this very light 17" FL brown snake was unearthed in a pile of decomposing grass/weeds this weekend in the cane fields near Lake Okeechobee.
It is the biggest and lightest colored S.d.victa I've seen.

I have a Florida brown snake. Dekay's were the first species I ever kept. Every individual has its own little personality, and they are so fun to watch! I wish I could have felt the thrill of seeing that one! I mainly like to see Storeria and photograph Storeria in the wild, so that picture is a real tresure, in my opinion. Thanks for posting it!
