indoor enclosures

jimhellwig19 Mar 01, 2005 11:08 PM

what is the superior type of indoor enclosure for turtles and tortoises, as i have been told that tubs are best because seeing through the glass freaks them out and i have also heard that tubs make them feel too confined, additionally, i have heard different variations of how these statements only apply to turtles or only apply to tortoises. so, once and for all, what is better clear or opaque? ed

For Aquatic turtles it really dosnt matter. I like being able to view my turtles underwater so I use aquariums/clear containers. But, for terrestrial turtles like box turtles opaq containers are deffinatly better. They just dont seem to understand that they cant get through the glass. So in my opinion aquatics = dosnt matter, terrestrial = opaq.
Hope this helps,
Chris
