roaches, pinkie mice occasionally, just about any kind of feeder insect that moves.
How long have you had them? are you sure you have two females? The missing toes are likely from bad sheds. Have you noticed shedding problems in your care or are these injuries from before.
can you describe better this biting you witnessed. Was there chasing involed, did it a appear violent? Or was it kind of easy going/ please decribe a little better and how much bigger is the one?

it seemed kinda violent, it chased the other under it's log where they both usually hide(i witnessed this only once when i was cleaning the tank , with a bright light).....other times there hanging out right next to eachother...
as far as i know and remember all the toes were there when i got her....
i keep a dish of water at the bottom for humidity and also spray the tank 3 times a day.....
the other is about an inch bigger....
the bigger one has a vague v shape under her side but no wax secretions....
they are both from different pet places (the bigger from a place where the tokay was crowded with vietnamese and other golden geckos...
and ive had em about 2 months...
Also, any suggestions on what kind of background i can give them for better color???????
thanks for the help guys...

i have seen my females a couple times seem to chase each other but there has never been any injuries. I see the male chase the females like you descibe more often, I fiquire he's trying to breed. Keep a close eye on this behavior. you could have a male/female combo possibly and they just aren't mature yet or just getting there. The toes are hard to say. Most likely from shedding probs before you aquired them. Shed left on the toes will constrict cutting off circulation and eventually with time the toe will fall off. Kept in the conditions you descibed from the pet shop, the damage may have done there. Keep a close eye out for shed not coming all the way off. maybe inspect the feet closely of that one to be sure there isn't more toes with tightly bound skin constricting them. sometimes its hard to see without looking close up. As far as backing for tanks I use plain old aqaurium backing from any pet store. Theres lots of varieties of landscape to choose from. I like to cover the entire back and a little ways around each side so it creates a nice dark area that can covered also with hanging fake plants in the back corners.
