Question for Robyn of Pro Exotics or Anyone using troughs

How do you get those nice acrylic tops the look they would need to be routed or something to that effect What type of traades person could do that on a trough?

you can do it yourself if you stick to a soft plywood blade...

one of the dumbest things i ever did was try and cut through that quarter inch acrylic myself, what a friggin mess...

we needed a few dozen lids, so i went to a local acrylic shop here in town and gave them a template, and they knocked them out. professionally, smooth, on their computer controlled massive table router

All you need is the right saw blade. Fine toothed and sharp. Also, there are little tricks, like, dragging a blade on the edge, then flashing it with a torch. This makes it smooth as glass. Its easy, just takes practice. FR
