Sorry that some of them are so blurry, any suggestions on taking clearer Crested Pics would also be welcome.

well, i'm not camera expert, but if you have your flash shut off then it slows down the shutter speed. when the shutter speed slows down it takes longer for the camera to burn the image. basically, if your flash is turned off you need to be a LOT more steady.
i have a fairly cheap 125 dollar samsung digital camera....
it's got a pretty decent zoom quality so i turn on the flash, and scoot back with the zoom on full. steady my arms on a table or wall and snap. takes awhile to get used to lighting needed to always be using a flash.
with my camera, i feel this is the only way to take a decent picture.
