Looking for glass cage with sliding front doors.

Jim L Jul 08, 2003 09:52 AM

Hello, it's been a long time since I have been here, and Zodi is getting large so I am looking to get him a bigger cage. What I am looking for is the glass cages that are basically like an aquarium with the screen top but have the two sliding front glass doors. I've seen them in pet shops (used for their animals, not for sale), and that is where I am going to ask next, but most pet shops will say "we can order one for you and mark the price way up" rather than just tell me where they got it. I'm familiar with Vision Cages, but that is not what I am looking for. Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Jim

There is a show coming to Michigan this Saturday, but it is about 3+ hours from me. I'd hate to drive all that way and not find what I was looking for. So, we'll see, I may or may not go. Thanks for the info though!!

There is a guy who comes to all the shows here in FL. I don't know if they go other places or not though. I don't even know if they have a site. Try doing a search for them. It's either Twin Oaks, or Twin Oaks Aquariums.

They used to say,, $1.00 per gallon. I don't know if they still do that or not but they are still good priced. I am amazed at the price of some of their bigger ones. They are a glass tanks, (Most can not hold water, they are thinner glass than fish tanks. Some can though,,they mark the ones that can) They make hinged doors and sliding doors. They also have screen tops for all of them (sold separately, not too much though) They also have stands and canopies for the larger ones that you can or not buy, it's up to you.

Check them out, you will be surprised at the price.

I found their site. They have a lot more sliding front cages than what is listed. Maybe they can't ship the others for some reason. In any case,, contact them and ask if they come to your area, it's much cheaper to get them from a show,, (no shipping)

Later.

Looks like they won't ship any glass cages, but will ship acrylic cages. I may contact them and see if they can make me one of there sliding front cages in acrylic, so they could ship it to me. Thanks for the link!!

Ask if they are going to be at the show near you, I live near St. Louis, so evidentally they go all over because they have been at the shows here.
