Is an UTH 100% necesary? I have incandesant lighting that currently achieves a temp of 90 degrees currently. Should I spend the money to get a UTH? Would the light be enough or should I have a UTH instead?
Thanks for any input

The air temps don't need to be as high as 90 but you do need a under tank heater because leos need belly heat to be able to digest their food properly. I have a 20 gallon tank with a zoomed uth on one side and a 60 watt red bulb over it that can be kept on 24/7 because it will not effect the day/night cycle. If your house is relatively warm you will not need anything other than a uth, but like with my house during the winter you might need a bulb to keep temps up. You don't need any uv lighting as leos are nocturnal but it won't hurt them to have it.
Hope this info helps
