I have a UTH that gets about 85-88 during the day, and I have it set on the lowest setting at night that gets up to about 75. Then I also have 2 different bulbs, but I only use one at a time. I'm using the light because I live in Buffalo, and the heat in my house stays at 65 because of the expensive gas bills. The light keeps the air in the tank to about 88 degrees. One of the bulbs I have is a red heat bulb and the other is a UVA/UVB basking bulb. The red heat bulb doesn't get up to a full 85 degrees. Is it ok to use that one though, since I have the UTH?
