do tokays need a water dish

kirkpatrick Mar 02, 2005 08:19 PM

i keep a dish for water with my tokay but i'm not sure if he uses it. so i was just curious. i mist him at night and usually once during the day. but in the pet shops they usually keep a couple tokays in a ten gal with a dish for water.

It's fine to keep a water dish in with your Tokay. It may or may not drink out of it though. Most Tokays will drink water from the sides of the tank and such after you mist. I have on very rare occasions seen a Tokay drinking out of a water dish/waterfall etc..
