the other night i mashed up a piece of bannana into almost pudding and gave it to my leachianus and he went nuts for it.

make sure there is no big chunks, everything has to be bite sized pieces.

you can use pear, peach, apricot, banana. babyfood is still good to use and much easier than mashing fruit, but its good to give them fresh fruit occasionally.

avoid citrus!

Baby food isn't good because it has to much sugar. Use mashed fruit mixed with a calcium dust, and you must feed calcium dusted crickets twice a week. Or you could just feed em CGD (crested gecko diet) every day...

I make sure I buy baby food that does not have added sugar (anything added) since fresh fruit already is high in sugar. I keep meaning to try mashing fresh fruit since I always have some that I feed each night to my skinks. I was thinking of puree it in the blender to make sure there aren't any chunks. I can't seem to mash fruit well enough on my own.

I put a banana, some berries, calcium dust, lizard vitamins, CGD, and a little water in a blender. They really seemed to like it. I've frozen the left overs. I just scrape a little off the top with a spoon, and defrost it in the microwave.

I also use what the geckos don't eat as my cricket food.

They also get dusted crickets, and wax worms.

My girlfriend has tried mashing bananas, peaches, and pears up at different times and mixing it up with the CGD or just a calcium dust. From what I can remember, they loved the peaches and the pears. We mainly just feed CGD and dusted crickets, but we will give them a treat of mashed up fruit.
