outdoor enclosures

drn4 Mar 02, 2005 08:34 PM

i live in southeast az.(tucson) I'd like to use some out door enclosures but I'm concerned about the temp swings from summer to winter. I'm not even sure I should attempt it all. If anyone has some expirience with this I'd appreciate some input or pics.

I had (3) 7ft Salvators(giants)in an outside encosure made from glass from sliding doors and plywood. I live in southern ca., i had to provide a ton of heat (expensive) during the winter. I thought they would like the natural sunlight during the day but thewy liked the artificial heat more due to more heat i think. It always freaked me out knowing if they got out i would lose them for sure, in the garage or in the house you can still find them but outside, good luck finding them. They got out once when i kept them in my office, i went to work seeing all the minim blinds ripped offf the walls, chairs knocked over, desks with everything on the floor, was a mess.
