cage size?

i just bought a albno burm. its about 3 ft im about to make a cage and would like to know what the dimensions should be. any suggest.

General rule of thumb is...

Width Length = Snake Length, however, It is only 3ft, and it wont be that way for long, I would suggest just get a 55gallon or something for now, and build a 8x4 or something of that sort.

I agree with the above post. It would be best to start with somthing similar to a 55gallon so the snake can feel more secure. Now an 8x4 cage would be very nice but wouldnt be necessary unless u have a very large female on your hands, 6x3 will also do and is probably the lowest you can go.

I use cages that are 96 x 30 x18high.
For a 3 ft snake. A 55 is ok, but a 75 will last about a year and a half.
After that, you'll have a burm that will need a very big enclosure.
I dont like 6 ft enclosures,unless the snake is out, getting a lot of exercise.
