what type of heating should i have for a RETF?

depends on your tank,I use a red bulb for my frogs,just make sure your temps are between 75-85F.

I use a false botton setup that has about 4 inches of water on the bottom of the tank. I have a small underwater heater cranked up all the way that comes on with the overhead flourescent light (for the live plants) on a timer. The Red Eyes don't venture into the water much so it gets nice and steamy in there. At night, the timer goes off and the tank cools down to room temp. My RETF's seem to really like that set-up. Plants respond well, too.
