did the person who posted this thread post the last reply? I hope so,otherwise thatd be bad advice.

Anyways, congrats on the new frogs.. What kindof gliding frog is it exactly,do you know? I dont knwo much about them but im sucre some basic info will be okay. You mentioned you have some water,i hope the whole tank is not water, the frog will drown. Cover the bottom of the tank in some plain, sterilized potting soil, jungle mix dirt, or Bed-A-Beast. More then a stick needs to be in there, put a few branches. I think these are bigger frogs, no? Can you give some more info about it so we can help you out? what size tank is he in? He is probably brown because he is stressed out from the move and his setup may not be suited to his likings or requirements. Put some fake plants in there, heavys turdy ones for him to res ton or even some real ones, but make sure they are not toxic befor eyou do that. Give some more info first so we can help you out.

Also, Feeding him a dozen crickets just once a week is no good. He probably gobbles them all up at once because he is very hungry. Feed him about 4 every other day, You can just keep the crickets in a small critter keeper or something hidden somewhere so you always have a supply. Also try some earhtworms or waxworms, tog ive some variety. Approx how big is the frog?

It sounds as if you have bitten off more than you can chew. You should always research first then buy... If your frog is in the genus Rhacophorus, they tend to be rather sensitive to cleanliness, pretty much cant keep them too clean. Unless your frog is a captive produced individual it probably has a pretty heavy parasite load which can kill them quite easily. I keep my rhacophosu in a rather well planted tank which I mist daily. Good luck with them they are neat frogs.

so is that a gliding frog that you have?is there a good website that i can find info?i cant even find a good picture that looks like him?

I have Rhacophorus reinwardtii, I got mine from Mascarino. They are a little daunting to deal with and often will not answer email, esp if you are just trying to collect info, but they are very knowledgable and helpful if you are actually making a purchase, I would shop with them again in a heat beat
