Paddle tail newt question

TwoSnakes Mar 03, 2005 12:12 PM

I am intereted in keeping 3 paddletail newts in a 30 gallon long planted unheated tank.
I have read several things on sites and gather they are aggressive towards one another. Would a tank this size house 3 of them for life with no problems or its a bad idea ?
Thanks

If you have P. labiatus then possibly not. It may be possible to keep a pair in that size tank.

i have two in a tank thats about 40 gallons, non planted with a little "land" which then NEVER use. in this setup, the two have just enough space. they do occasionally "fight" but its not that severe, as they have their space. i would not put a third in my tank, if that helps you out any.
