How does this sound? I have Perlite and potting soil mixed so that it is formable yet not sticky nor drippy. Its 2 to 5 inches depending on the area you check. Should I make it deeper? The tub is 33 1/2" by 15 1/2" I'll post pictures as soon as possible.

Sounds good - I have just potting soul - Damp - able to pack but not cave in. I have a hill in my tub, 15 inches high on one side, going down to 5 inches on the other.

Good luck!

I've got it on a hill that goes from 1" to 12" since thats how tall my container is. For the eggs can they bee too wet? For future useage I want to know so I don't drown babies lol. I wouldn't submerge them or anything but having too damp of soil? Or can they dry out if the soil goes dry while at work? I work 4 days a week and 8 hours a day. Just keep the soil damp as much as possible?

I used plain wet sand wet enough to burrow in and hold shape, but not dripping wet. I would dig out a starter spot half way up the hill and show it to her. If she's ready to lay, she should start there. As soon as she's through laying and covering the eggs, carefully dig them out and put them in the incubator.
