Health Question?

croc18 Mar 03, 2005 03:48 PM

My 13ft Male Reticulated python has in the past week devolped a kind of discoloration on his belly. The color is a light pinkish and is only apperant in the lower half of his body. I have not seen this before and want to know if anyone else has seen anything like this?

Thanks,
Brandon

I am not sure as to exactly what that would be, but you might consider getting him to a vet ASAP, just in case it's anything serious.

I agree with the recomendation for a vet. Also when was the last time he shed? Could be comin up on that.

Is it related to his source of heat? Belly heat will turn a snakes stomach pink. It doesn't necessarily mean burns but you may want to check your temps just in case.
