Humidity

Soulskater Mar 03, 2005 04:05 PM

The question of how humid the environment should be came up in the sav forum about a week ago. The question has come up a few times since I started reading the forums on kingsnake and the answers are always vague. Does anyone know how high it should be? Is there a safe range? Are there any tell-tale signs that it is too low or too high? I'm assuming it depends on the species to a fairly large extent. Does it vary from lizard to lizard? I'm asking this for just the sake of discussion so any response would be welcome.
Thanks

depends on the species and on the enclosure....that will determine how much or how little your humidity ranges will be.
All monitors need humidity one way or another, but only they will determine when and how they need it so you also need to look for cues from your monitor.
