Introducing: Albino Pastel Jungle

crlt845 Mar 03, 2005 04:28 PM

When I hatched this guy (8/20/04)I new something was up. He had a different cast about him, also I couldn't ignore the orange splotches low on the sides. Too subtile though, not what I, or anyone else for that matter wanted to see from Albino Pastel.
With each shed the orange is increasing, also today I noticed that new areas are breaking out orange. What's happening is that where with a regular Pastels as they mature they brown out, with an Albino pastel as that happens you get more orange!
Since this change has really just starting, and the pair is still so small, I think by the time they reach maturity they will be very impressive.
thnx

PS.......I also produed a female that is just a little behind in this increasing orange thing. I'll post pics of them both together next month when they should be much more impressive.

Notice the orange spotching

Kind of a bad pic taken today but it shows the new orange on the neck that wasn't there two days ago,

I thought it might be Reptiles Industries that had produced this one that a few people said they saw. They may have produce it also, but they rarely show off there offspring until the shows. Thanks for sharing and please keep us updated as he/she gain more color as they mature.

GOD Bless

What good photos of coloration. That is definately a remarkable suble difference.

The Bells did produce one as well, however have chosen only to show the photographs in emails only. I'm sure we'll all see it at a show.

This gives my albino pastel project more excitment, thanks for the photos!

I'm not big on albinos, and I really thought a pastel albino wouldn't be much different than an albino. That orange is sweet, though. I can't wait to see how they mature. If you are right and the "brown" becomes "orange," that will be just killer! Tom, you seem to have some completely awesome animals. Way to go on producing those!

The contrast between the orange/yellow/white scales really is amazing. It's subtle, but really beautiful. Reminds me of snowballs and how their pattern comes out in cool different shades of white and yellow. They aren't the pure white snake a lucy is, but I think that adds to their beauty. Looks like it is so with the albino pastels, too.

Every time I think I might be getting bored with ball morphs, something different reminds me why they're so intriguing. Cool!
