Thought that this forum would appreciate this story.

This past weekend my 1 1/2 year old son was with me in the snake room for the first time while I was cleaning cages. We were there for an hour or so and each snake that I would take out he would ooh and ahh over and squeel and yell "nake"! While he liked the Applegates San Diegos very much (one is his that hatched out on the day he was born), there was one that let me know that I had a true future pit lover on my hands. I pulled out my abberant P.d.deppei and he reached out harder and farther than for all of the others. When it was time to put him back, my son cried and said "mine, mine, mine!". Needless to say that I am a very proud dad indeed.

Thats great and I hope you son have many more Reptile moments in the Coming years .

I have 2 little girls and the oldest one (age 4) just love's helping in the snake room and enjoys going herping, we had a blast catching lizards last fall.

I love to hear about things like this. My daughter is 2 and a half and now asks me to bring her to the snake room. Sometimes a few times a day, she doesn't have to ask me twice LOL. She likes to color and hang around while I do my thing. Nothing makes me happier than to see she enjoys being in there with me. Tom Stevens
