I am purchasing a 300g Bell line pastel male. (I just paid half on him tonight, paying the other half in 2 weeks!) I was wondering if they kept their color as they get older? I know my normals have changed colors since babies, do pastels do the same? I am new to ball pythons, so sorry if this is a stupid question! Thanks in advance for your help!!

They lose some of their color they start turning a light brown on their back. He will still be awesome even full grown.

It is a 2004 ASF Reptile produced baby from the Graziani line. He is currently 600 grams. Hope you like him.

He's gorgeous too! I dont think there's a pastel out there I havent liked I went to the ASF website, they are in FL...always a plus! I am going to save up a little more and get a female from them! I really want a Graziani line female. Hey, does anyone know a breeder who produces nice jungles?

Since I know how to work this pic thing now..I'm going to post pics of everyone! Here is my WC female (got her about a month ago). She's calmed down a lot, still hates being held though. This pic was taken a day after I got her, she had to camp out in a pet taxi while I got her tank ready. She now lives in a 4' long, 20" high huge tank. She's much happier Here's the pic! (sorry its so bad, my camera quit working not long after I took that one, so I need to get a new one to take more pics!)

nope, just a pretty normal. thats who I am going to breed my pastel to though next season.

I don't know about the Bell line, but I picked up Graziani line pastel that barely looked pastel. But with each succeeding shed she gets brighter and brighter as is quite good looking now. But someone told me some will do this up until about 700 grams and then begin to fade. Then there are others that do not. She looks great for now.

Have a male bell line pastel for 3 yrs and he looks as good as ever,my female is a little faded so it all depends !!!
