That hatchling Regal Ringneck ate on Sunday, then again yesterday, then AGAIN today, one defrosted pink each time. I think it's on its way to the Power Feed--you know, those rare snakes that eat all the time and grow up quickly. Borrowed an inexpensive digital camera to record the event, but the flash did not work for me, so it's a fairly ghastly image, but you get the idea.

Very nice, it's turning into a monster for sure, in my collection only my kingsnakes eat like that! I had a southern ringneck snake that would eat like 3 fish every day for a week. The little regal could set a landmark, especially if you could get it to adulthood, as regal ringneck snake sexual maturity is a mystery. Keep us updated, I still can't get my hands on another one.

Wow, one of my regals decided for the first time to eat after five months of sitting around south florida wondering why the heck it was still so hot. Keep in mind that a rodent will make your snake fat and unhealthy so keep it easy or that snake may have a significantly shorten life span from too much fat in its diet.
