Woma Phases...

CJBianco Mar 04, 2005 07:04 AM

Can someone please explain to me the different Woma phases? I've seen a few advertised as "Starburst" phase. What exactly is this?

Forgive me. I'm sure there is a clear and obvious difference between the phases, but my newbie eyes just don't see it.

By the way...OMG...Womas are absolutely stunning! =)

Thanks In Advance,
Chris =)

A starburst phase is simply a well defined, thin banned, pattern. Woma phases per se are clouded in my opinion. I have seen starburst phased womas that as adults looked very similiar to mine. I believe the cleaner patterned snakes are what people are breeding for and what they put names on. A typical clutch of Womas will have many variations within the group. I present two of my animals from last year, same clutch, unrelated parents.Gee that blackish one looks like a jaguar morph!
LOL P.s. Dont watch Survivor anymore they kill snakes for primetime tv.

Thanks a bunch. And I finally found a single thread from 2003 about Starburst Womas. The concensus was the same as yours -- nothing special.

Oh, well. A beautiful Woma is a beautiful Woma.

Thanks,
Chris
