Gentics Help

jadewolf Mar 04, 2005 12:24 PM

I have a Ball I purched almost a year ago at a store where all they were listed as was "Ball Python Babies" captive born. I've noticed that his colors seem quite a little bit brighter yellow than most "normal" balls I've seen, and was the reason I was so attracted to him when I was selecting a baby out of about 30 snakes.

I may be able to find out who the breeder is, but my question was if there's anyway to tell if there's something about his markings or coloration that would signal perhaps genetics for morphs? Or if it's just a matter of breeding and finding out.

If he's just "normal" I'll love him all the same, I was just curious. Below are some images of him.

Thanks for the help

Just by the pictures it looks normal but if you want to see if there is anything hiding in those genetics you will have to breed it. Nice normal though.

He does look normal, but he's got some nice coloring! Breed him and see if it's genetic!

It looks like you will probably get babies that look similar to the parent...which means very photogenic : )
